People are yearning and seeking for something which is out of the ordinary in all aspects: price, style, and end use.  Thus, I find myself standing in the midst of a Creative Recreations Sample Sale on Melrose Avenue, on a Sunday afternoon.  It was a different ambiance than other sample sales or markets — exuberant staff and a DJ whose sound reverberated between the neighboring brick buildings created an experience that only added to the deals one could find.  Today, as consumers, we are seeking a different experience in all …

Tats art

Tatoos are not only an artform, they’re fashion, a way of life…at least in Los Angeles.  This was driven home yet again at the Velvet Grip Tatoo / Junker Designs event, which featured super-tall models wearing the latest collection from Junker Designs, art from various local artists, and a crowd that proudly displayed their colors, from tats to threads

Paris Capital Fashion

Aah, Paris, quelle joie!  Paris was abuzz with Fashion Week and the various fashion markets…Fashion was in the air, people were out shopping for fall clothes, the weather was still warm…
The big trends everywhere:  leather, black leather skirts, dresses, shorts.  Over-the-knee boots – every store had them. Big bulky knits. And studs – studded everything…
I truly felt like one of the chosen few walking through the crowds lining the entrance at the Vivienne Westwood show at  the Hotel Pozzo di Borgo.
The show started late, like all fashion shows, but not before …

Now let’s talk heels. Not just any heels, but custom heels. Custom, doesn’t the very sound of that word make your heart go pitter patter. Your heels have something no other heel has, your foot in them. So, why buy something that is made for the masses?
Lately designers like Noel Hagman and KM2 have been pushing the envelope in the custom shoe department.
Noel’s shoes are all one of a kind, refashioning Jimmy Choos and Stella Mccartneys. There is only one size for every style. When the shoe fits, buy it!  …
