Aah, Paris, quelle joie!  Paris was abuzz with Fashion Week and the various fashion markets…Fashion was in the air, people were out shopping for fall clothes, the weather was still warm…

The big trends everywhere:  leather, black leather skirts, dresses, shorts.  Over-the-knee boots – every store had them. Big bulky knits. And studs – studded everything…

 I truly felt like one of the chosen few walking through the crowds lining the entrance at the Vivienne Westwood show at  the Hotel Pozzo di Borgo.

  The show started late, like all fashion shows, but not before Rihanna walked in, in a swarm of cameras…The ‘show’ before the show was just as good – Vivienne Westwood-clad fashionistas and buyers from all over the world desperately searching for their assigned seats…The following day, deciding what NOT to order from the handbag line and the Gold Label collection was probably the hardest few hours of the whole trip…at least the hardest few hours of the whole trip…already something to look forward to in 2010.
